Low Attack – low attack players set up in front of the goal net of the opposite team. Their main task is to score goals. There are 3 of these players. They never cross the restraining line into their own defensive zone.
Low Defense – low defensive players set up in front of their own goal net. Their main task is to stop the other team from scoring goals. There are 3 of these players as well. They never cross the restraining line onto the other team’s defensive zone.
Attack Wing – Attack wings set up around the circle, usually on the attack side. They play offense and defense, as well as carrying the ball down the field, but their intent is to play more offense than defense. Only one may pass the restraining line into their own team’s defensive zone. There are 2 of these players.
Defense Wing – Defensive wings are very similar to attack wings but their focus is on defense rather than offense, but they play both parts. There are two of these players as well. Only one them may pass the restraining line into the other team’s defensive zone. The biggest difference between this and an attack wing is that one of them sets up with the defensive players and the other sets up around the circle.
Center – The center plays both parts just like the wings, but doesn’t focus on either. She sets up in the center of the field and participates in the draw with the opposite team’s center. There is only one center.
Goalie – Just like in other sports the goal stands in front of the net and guards it. She has a much bigger and deeper pocket in her stick than the other players and also wears a lot more padding and a helmet. She mainly stays in the goal circle, but sometimes she can move out of it, just not while carrying the ball.
